My name is Sharyn and I draw with scissors.
With only the simplest materials, I make art that celebrates the beauty of ordinary life.
My process is simple, though not easy. I draw freehand using just ordinary scissors and a single sheet of archival quality paper. The magic is in the craftsmanship, the delightful imperfections that capture real life.
Trained as a jewelry designer, I love the little details and pack them into the cut paper to give depth and delight.
I've been blessed to design products for some of the most admired companies globally. I teach art on cruise ships. My art hangs in museums and hospitals and on living room walls and is enjoyed in prestigious museums and a preschool in my hometown alike.
It all makes me smile.
